At Ilé Awo we continue to work to spread the traditional Yoruba practice throughout the world. After the success of our Ifá Tradicional and Ifá Tradicional Pro applications, with thousands of downloads worldwide, we launched a new application: Ojú Odù. For several weeks the download of this new application was limited for users of Ifá Tradicional Pro, but now we have opened it to all people who want to improve their knowledge of the traditional practice of the Yoruba religion.
This new application of Traditional Ifá brings in scoop 80 verses of Ojú Odù, the 16 main signs of Ifá each with their audio in Yoruba. Traditionalist priests consider that an initiate in Ifá must know at least five verses of each Ifá sign. Now, with Ojú Odù, they can acquire this basic knowledge by learning verses that have been compiled and contrasted after years of learning with Ifá teachers in Nigeria.
The understanding of the verses is assured, because in addition to their transcription in Yoruba, each one of the verses is translated into Spanish. Likewise, we once again bet on facilitating the learning of Ifá information with the Yoruba audios of the verses recited exclusively by an authentic Yoruba babalawo.
