Last week, our If\u00e1 teacher and Alaafin de \u00d2y\u00f3 priest presided over the three days of ceremonies that began on April 1 and then continued with the celebrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Oworin Meji Festival is one of the main cultural and religious celebrations taking place in the city of \u00d2y\u00f3, attended by people from all over Nigeria and from all over the world. The Oluwo Ifatoki Akangbe was in charge of presiding over the ceremonies since he is the oldest priest in this city dedicated to the worship of Shango.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-style-large is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>At Il\u00e9 Awo we have collaborated for years with the celebration of the annual If\u00e1 \u00d2w\u00f3r\u00edn M\u00e9j\u00ec festival, whose ceremonies are presided over by our If\u00e1 master<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>After the three days in which the Olowu and his assistants performed the corresponding ceremonies, all the participants in the festival go to the Alaafin palace in \u00d2y\u00f3 to pay their respects at one of the most important moments of the festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-background\" style=\"background-color:#f9f9f9\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-2 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ileawo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/tambores-oworin-meji.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"3906\" data-link=\"https:\/\/ileawo.com\/festival-anual-de-ifa-oworin-meji\/tambores-oworin-meji\/\" class=\"wp-image-3906\"\/><\/figure><\/li><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ileawo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/ofrendas-palmera-festival-oworin-meji.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"3910\" data-full-url=\"https:\/\/ileawo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/ofrendas-palmera-festival-oworin-meji.jpg\" data-link=\"https:\/\/ileawo.com\/festival-anual-de-ifa-oworin-meji\/ofrendas-palmera-festival-oworin-meji\/\" class=\"wp-image-3910\"\/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Then, all the inhabitants of \u00d2y\u00f3 and the visitors who come to the city to participate in the \u00d2w\u00f3r\u00edn M\u00e9j\u00ec festival went to the Oke Agidan mountain to continue with the collective ceremonies in which they expressed their wishes for luck and life to If\u00e1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The \u00d2w\u00f3r\u00edn M\u00e9j\u00ec festival is held, in part, thanks to the collaboration of hundreds of people from all over the world who are taken into account during celebrations and ceremonies.
